Litter picking at the Welsh Harp

Litter picking

Join us for the next litter picking event!

We organise litter picks every month, so please get involved! They are a fun and rewarding way of spending a couple of hours. Between January and April 2021 alone volunteers removed at least 1,500 bags of rubbish (not to mention countless safes, tyres, supermarket trolleys, and even guns!).

Our last picks were on 3rd and 4th July 2021 and were attended by lots of volunteers and Barnet Council team. Here are a few of us from the day, looking rather pleased with ourselves :)

Health and safety

Please be sensible and don't endanger yourself by picking up things like needles or broken glass.

Please also beware of Giant Hogweed, and familiarise yourself with it. This weed can cause serious skin inflammation.
